Managers Corner

Hello and welcome!  My name is Chris Eulberg and I am the new manager for the La Sierra Soccer Club 2007 season.

First I would like to thank my predecessor, Mike Winn, who did a great job of running LSSC for many years.  Mike is now running the Tops Soccer Program (the first in Northern California) which is a great soccer program for young athletes with disabilities.  If you know of anyone who could benefit, or you would like to volunteer for the program, please contact Mike Winn at (916) 349-9901.

If you have already seen this web site, then you probably know that I'm a little late in posting this letter.  We ask that all returning and new players register now so teams can be formed and coaches assigned.  We have already had two registration events, and I know that for many LSSC families soccer registration is not a high priority right now, but waiting until July is a nightmare for our volunteers and the players that we possibly have to turn away.

Speaking of volunteers, we have a great group of people who put this whole season together, and frankly speaking - they are fantastic!  But, we urgently need a few more volunteers to help run this soccer club, especially if there is something about the club you would do differently.  Please don't be selfish with your time and talents.  There are many things to choose from - board positions to coaching a team.  You don't need much experience, just a desire to make a difference.

Our next soccer registration date is set for May 6th at Deterding Elementary School - 6000 Stanley Ave. - Carmichael, from 9am - 12pm (just prior to the Art Festival)  We will be set up on the Panama Street /bus loading zone side of the school.

Please make every effort to register as soon as possible.  Thanks for helping to make this a great soccer season!

Sincerely,

Chris Eulberg
