La Sierra Soccer Club
Make a Team Roster
Include the player's name, telephone number, parent's/guardian's names, and if possible, email addresses.
Distribute the list to each family.
Make Snack Schedule
Snacks typically include fruit at each halftime and a drink and snack at the end of each game. It is helpful to
inquire if any of the soccer players have an allergy to a particular kind of food or drink.
Find out if a banner already exists for your team. If not, make a team banner. Banners are generally 3
feet by 4 feet or as large as 4 feet by 5 feet and includes all player names or nicknames. The banner will be
the background for your team photo.
Team photos will be on September 25th, 2014. Each player will receive a memory mate photo as a part of their registration fees.
Trophies are included in this year's registration fees, so there is no additional cost. Compile a list of player names for the trophies. It is very important that the names are spelled correctly. Please double check the spelling of all names with the parents. Trophies should be distributed at the end of the season party.
Toward the end of the season, collecting a small contribution for the coaches' gifts (coach & assistant) is
standard. A coach plaque or gift card is a nice thank you gift. The coaches are volunteers and spend a
lot of time and energy with your kids.
End of the Year Party
Near the beginning of October, you will receive the second half of the season's schedule. This is a good
time to reserve a location and time for the team party. It is practical to plan it for the same day as the last
scheduled game. Plan early because pizza and party locations book up quickly. Most local pizzerias will give a
soccer team discount of 10 to 15% off the total bill if ordered in advance. A cake or cupcakes can be
provided by a parent volunteer or purchased through donations from the team.
