Team Parent //
- Make a team roster:
- Include the player's name, telephone #, parents/guardian's names, and if possible, email address. Distribute out to each family.
- Make snack schedule:
- Snacks typically include fruit at halftime and a drink & snack at the end of the game. It is helpful to inquire if any of the soccer players have an allergy to a particular kind of food/drink.
- Team Banner:
- Find out if a banner already exists for your team. If not, make a team banner. Banners are generally 3 ft by 4 ft or as large as 4 ft by 5 ft and include all the player names or nick names. The banner will be the background for your team photo.
- Team Photos:
- The date and time for team photos will be announced. Each player will receive a team photo and 2 individual 3" x 5" photos at no charge. Extra photos may be purchased.
- Trophies:
- Trophies are included in this year's registration fees so there is no additional cost. Compile a list of player names for the trophies. It is very important that the names are spelled correctly. Please check spelling of all the names with the parents. Trophies should be distributed at the end of the season party.
- Coaches Gift:
- Towards the end of the season, collect a small contribution for the coaches gift (coach & assistant) is standard. A coach plaque or gift card is a nice thank you gift. The coaches are volunteers and spend a lot of time and energy with your kids.
- End of the year party:
- Near the beginning of October you will receive the 2nd half of the season's schedule. This is a good time to reserve a location and time for the party. It is practical to plan it for the same day as the last scheduled game. Plan early because pizza/party locations book up fast. Most local pizzerias will give a soccer team discount of 10 to 15% off the total bill if ordered in advance. A cake or cupcakes can be provided by a parent volunteer or purchased through donations from the team.
